In this small volume by S. D. Gordon from his "Quiet Talks" series, the subtle truths of John's gospel are discussed in a friendly, intimate manner. Gordon's purpose is not that of a scholarly writer trying to make his mark on the history of Biblical interpretation. Rather, he speaks to Christian "common folk," as he calls them, who may not be priests but still wish to deeply understand the nature of God and the revelation of Jesus. Through John, Gordon finds the essence of Christ's quest on Earth: the cultivation of love. American lay preacher SAMUEL DICKEY GORDON (1859-1936) was a devotional speaker in high demand throughout the early 1900s, as well as a prolific author of inspirational works. His "Quiet Talks" series includes Quiet Talks on Power and Quiet Talks About Jesus.

JS: A classic of esoterica litterature
Great writting, made of a mix of esoterica and novel suspense. Explains detailled culture and history of Atlantis, all this connected with the narrated many lifes, through reincarnation, of the adventure's hero; also some mystical and poetic insights. A classic of esoterica litterature.

Don't beleive all this stuf ? You are still left with a fantastic science-fiction/esoteric tale. One of my favorite books.
Kathlynn Knight: A Dweller on Two Planets...
Although some of the language is archaic, the message is timeless and very difficult to dispute. Our universe has vast space and options for many types of people and cultures. The story is written in the first voice of the dweller. It is amazing how even though it was told over 100 years ago, it still has many points which are so relevant today in the 21st century. History can be a tool useful in awakening from the mistakes of our past.
Christopher S. Smallwood: very enlightening and very Christian in the best sense
I'm a big fan of Edgar Cayce's books because...well, I believe in his material. In one of his books he mentions Phylos, so I bought it and am half way through. Really an excellent, VERY ODD, and quite amazing book that I DO NOT BELIEVE is a fiction. What's important to me is the message which is about LOVE. Won't say more.
As for me, I was an English major in college. Later in life took a great many science classes for pre-med and for 20 years have worked in a hospital...this said to say I'm not a metaphysical nut job. I like my books grounded in love and forgiveness and are very Christ centered (in a good way!). So, if you are curious about this book READ it. You will enjoy it just for it's almost science fiction feeling BUT NOT science fiction feeling....that's all I'll say. Gee, I hope I don't sound like Paula Abdul...
Jean Sinclair: Life Lessons
"What goes 'round comes 'round" could be the theme of this enchanting book.
A higher being delivered a message to a young man, F.S.Oliver, who obtained this information by means of "mental talks" during which the boy was conscious of the presence of his instructor. (It was not by "channelling" in which a spirit takes over a human body while the person's consciousness is absent and speaks through it.)
It has been said that truth is stranger than fiction and this story is no exception. It gives a fascinating description of the ancient land of Atlantis as a young man, Phylos, searched for gold and found more adventures than he could handle. His further descriptions of his continued life story illustrate that we are all responsible for our own actions. His heartbreaking decisions became life lessons of pain and ultimate victory.
This book is a page turner and an eye opener to the truth of life. I highly recommend it. One may never see life the same after reading this incredible story.
