Steffi Schütze grew up in East Germany. As a child,she started writing short stories, poems, and
plays. Once Germany was united, she studied political science and journalism, and worked for various
national German radio stations and newspapers. In 2000, she came to New York to continue her writing
career. During this time she stayed at the International House and found it a rewarding and life-changing experience. We’re Global Citizens is her first book.
