VERA SRBINOVIĆ was born in Belgrade. After studying English and literature at the University of Belgrade, she went abroad and has lived in The Hague, The Netherlands since 1963. She was awarded the Milica Stojadinović Srpkinja prize for poetry in 2002 (Novi Sad, Serbia), and the Rastko Petrović literary prize in 2005 (Belgrade, Serbia).
